Set up once. Then just look.
- 01
Scan your face once
Two minutes. Look at the camera, then turn your head the way the screen shows you. Your face becomes a set of numbers on the spot, and no photo is ever kept.
- 02
Lock, sleep, close the lid
Use your Mac exactly as you do now. Richeli ID waits quietly in the menu bar and never gets in the way.
- 03
Look. You’re in.
The scan opens in the notch, checks it’s really you, and unlocks. If it isn’t you, nothing happens.
Built for how you actually use your Mac.
Lives in the notch
A scan, a tick, and you’re in, playing out where the camera already sits. On Macs without a notch, it floats as a slim pill.
Knows a real face
Liveness checks watch for the movement and reflections a printed photo or a phone screen can’t fake.
More than one you
Add yourself with glasses, in evening light, or someone you trust. Switch any face off without deleting it.
Your triggers
Scan on wake, on lock, or when you tap the space bar on the lock screen. Any mix you like.
Desk setups, sorted
Pick a different camera for an external monitor and Richeli ID switches by itself.
Invisible if you want
Turn the animation off and it just works, with no notch, no flourish, just unlocked.
Your face never leaves your Mac.
Recognition runs entirely on your Mac. There’s no account and no cloud, and nothing is sent to us or anyone else. Your face is stored as an encrypted set of numbers, never a photo, and Richeli ID asks for Touch ID before it will use your password. Delete either one from Settings whenever you like.
Made for convenience, not as a vault.
iPhone Face ID uses a 3D depth sensor; a Mac webcam sees a flat image. With its strongest check turned on, Richeli ID turns away printed photos and photos on a phone screen, but it can’t reliably tell you from a video of you. If your Mac holds very sensitive data, keep using Touch ID or your password.
Requirements
